Koala T Update on Coronavirus

Hello Everyone,

We have been trying to stay informed as much as possible, but as you know, there is a lot of information out there from all different platforms, with all different opinions, so it is difficult overall to truly know where we all are headed with this new virus among us.

As concerns for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) increase across the nation and locally, Koala T Poker League is monitoring the situation and will implement policies based on recommendations by the CDC and local health departments. The health and safety of our customers/staff is always our top priority!

While the immediate health risk for most Americans is considered low at this time, we have decided not to make any cancellations at the moment. However, we would like to pass along CDC recommendations for preventing the spread of the coronavirus, flu and other respiratory illnesses.

We’d also like to inform you of the proactive steps we are taking to help prevent the spread of these illnesses in our facilities.

CDC Recommendations:

• If you’re feeling sick or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home. • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Please feel free to wear a face mask and/or medical gloves at our events. Yes, you may think this is silly, but this will definitely aid in reminding you NOT to touch your face. • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or sleeve. • People with a higher risk of getting very sick from COVID-19 (i.e. elderly and people with serious medical conditions), should avoid crowds as much as possible.

Proactive steps Koala T Poker League will be taking and asking all players to be taking to prevent the spread of illnesses:

• Hand sanitizing at all events, we encourage all players to sanitize before playing. • Clean and disinfect chips weekly • Thorough cleaning of all our tables with disinfectant on a nightly bases • Ask TDs who are sick to stay home. • If any player is found to be tested positive, please notify us IMMEDIATELY. We will immediately notify all players in that event and consider cancellations of all KTPL events to avoid a spread throughout our community.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates on our website. You can also stay informed for yourself by checking out the CDC website directly. Knowledge is power and ensuring that you are doing your best to help in containing this virus, please do stay informed. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/index.html

We understand that at this time especially, aside from regular nightly events, there are our quarterly championship events coming up soon and of course a few months away is the Bar Poker Open National Championship.

So we have been meticulously keeping an eye on any developments both locally and nationally. If we need to take any further measures, we will absolutely notify all players via Email, Facebook, and our Website.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to FB message us here or to email me at edguerra@koalatpoker.com.
